Description | St. Mary Magdalene sculpture placed above the front door of the chapel of the Madeleine in Kerguéarec in Carnac (56). The site of the chapel was once a leper colony which water drawn from the Sainte-Madeleine fountain had the power to cure skin problems and fever. The present chapel was rebuilt in 1976 to replace the ancient earlier building. Every year, the fourth Sunday in July held a pardon followed by a garden party .. |
